Kat comes from a background in painting and drawing. She does predominantly black illustrative fine-line tattoos and dotwork.
“I am very inspired by organic shapes and automatic illustration. The ambiguous and often abstract concepts that emerge from working in this way always end up finding their way back to reality in the ways they relate to physical organic shapes and materials, and I try to emphasise this relationship through details and different textures. I love combining these two worlds and figuring out how they work best with the shapes of the body.”
